College Essentials: My Recommendations

Backpack

A great backpack is a college essential. I liked having one that was roomy enough to carry my laptop, chargers, any textbooks/notebooks I needed for the day, my planner, water bottle, snacks, and other miscellaneous things (like an umbrella.) This backpack from The North Face is a solid option.

 

Day Planner

I started using a day planner in high school but didn’t get serious about it until college. Now, I cannot live without my day planner and it’s what keeps me 100% organized and on top of things. I’ve been using this style Lilly Pulitzer planner every year and I highly recommend it.

 

Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is super important, which is why I always made sure to have a refillable water bottle in my backpack every day. Hydroflasks are popular on college campuses and keep your water cold all day.

 

MacBook Air

I got my MacBook Air just before starting my freshman year of college. Almost six years later, it’s still alive and kicking! This is a great laptop for college students because it’s lightweight, durable, and functional.

 

Cellphone Pocket

This is such a simple thing but incredibly helpful to have! A stick-on cellphone pocket has room for you to stash your student ID, license, credit cards, etc. AND your keys! Do yourself a favor and get one of these.
